Chocolate Cakes

Chocolate Cakes,

Been a busy week, but I guess that everyone has had a busy week really.

***
Two lovely people are now Angels this week, so I thought the families maybe needing a little bit of chocolate to keep them going for a minute or two.  Not really much anyone can do as nothing takes the feeling of loss away. But one minute of prettiness may help.

Just a little bit.

So two chocolate fudge cakes made in one day.
Indeed a rare moment for me to be cooking!
(My mother in law will be impressed)

So the day begins.
And I wish you all the best.

So today go out and make the most of every second, smell that beautiful air and embrace life and really hug those precious little ones that are so dear to you.

And be so thankful for what we have.

Have a really lovely day my friends.

Hope you all had a good thanksgiving for all those that celebrated!

Cath Kidston - Bath,

I love visiting the Cath Kidston stores, it's always a great source of inspiration to come back home and do something with my house!
Well I have good intentions and good ideas, but sadly my house hasn't changed much!

I have painted all my old wooden chairs white, but I do love these colourful pastel painted chairs.

And I'm still loving all the spots and floral china.

Happy Sunday,

Red Spot Day,

Hope you all manage to raise loads of money today for Children in Need.
We got the red and white spotty teapot out today before we painted the little one's faces.

And I had to wear my bright coloured spotty skirt for the little one's assembly they were doing this am.
I have never seen such a sea of spots and stripes.

Remember this is the only day that you can get away with wearing your pyjamas all day!

Take advantage!

hehehe

London, 11-11-11

We had a trip to London yesterday.
Quite a day.
Saw my lovely brother and sister.
It was a beautiful day but slightly emotional being on the 11th.
Really nice to get together and remember all those dear loved ones.
:(
It was a chilly autumn day with so many different activities and sounds going on compared to here by this quite seaside town.

Red poppies everywhere.

My red, white and black poppy skirt,

Sad, but it was little one's first trip (that he can remember)
 to the capital.
Love why he asked about all the beeping and honking!

I thought everything looked beautiful.

Cute Yellow bathroom signs in one of our favourite restaurants.

I didn't have any of these beautiful looking desserts.
Not sure why I just had rye toast?
Crazy.

In awe of the beautiful autumnal colours in Hyde Park.

Rustling of leaves.

Just trying my first video on my blog?

Pavilion.

Bleak tree.

Royal ALbert Hall.

Friendly squirrel.

Wow to the colour of this lovely tree at the Serpentine.

Lunch time at the Lido
after visiting the Serpentine Gallery.

Chairs enjoying the view.

Dog waiting for it's owner.

Until next time.

Vintage Cutlery,

I'm not sure what I can say about vintage cutlery except that it is so beautiful and you can never have enough of it.
Well you can but not if you need  to hire it out!
My big stash was used for a lovely large party on Saturday night.

These are just a couple of photographs of them drying before they were picked up.

Cream handles.

Love the detail on the handles.

Have a good day.

The Blind Lemon Vintage Fashion Fair,

 The Blind Lemon Vintage
Fashion Fair

I had the pleasure of attending the Blind Lemon Vintage fashion fair recently in Swansea.
It was founded in 2005 in Pembrokeshire and has now developed into s series of Vintage Fashion Fairs across the Uk. It is run by Edwin Dyson who is based in Bristol.

I only took a few photographs as one had to try on loads of cute 1950's outfits and look at all the lovely treasures.

Lots and lots of jewellery.

Maroon hat.

Really cute 1950's floral print dress.

A plethora of pretty printed dresses, skirts and shirts.

Grey spotty and yellow floral dress.

Heart shaped teapot.

Jewellery detail.

Floral fabric.

Blue and white swimming hat.
Would love the looks if I turned up on the beach with this beauty!

Yellow swimming hat.

Black and gold  dress.

Red and yellow dress detail.

blue and white pinafore dress.

Gold dress detail.

Brown shoes.

I have a passion for old magazines.
Particularly love this fun cover on the magazine Courier.

I was in a world-wind rush going around.
Chatted to some lovely people, tried on some lovely clothes and took a few photos.

I did rather well, even though I was so so so tempted to buy more.
I  brought the cutest vintage red floral skirt.I haven't worn it yet but I think I actually might wear it today.

I am now looking forward to the next vintage fair now.
