Vintage Afternoon Tea,

Fancy Vintage had the pleasure of working with Nia and the lovely fundraising team from Bobath at the weekend for their beautiful Vintage Afternoon Tea. It was a packed event with music, vintage stalls and lots of tea & cake.
(Of course all on pretty vintage china)
I have never met such a lovely group of people that all work so well together. So it was a whole lot of fun chatting and eating cake as well as selling some cake-stands and tea cup candles too.
Here are a few of the photographs from the event.

My favorite Apron.

Time for Tea sign.

Bobath do quite a bit of fund-raising.

This was a brilliant event for a very worthy cause. Go and read more about what Bobath do. They provide specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy to children all over Wales who have cerebral palsy.
They raised over £600 on the day, which is so fantastic.

Busy, busy day.

My brother with a pretty gold and floral tea cup.

I loved this tea drinker!

She had the most beautiful pink dress on.

Loved it.

Scrum Diddley's pretty cupcake.

Nia's lovely mom with blue china.

Four pink cakes on Royal Albert.

Chocolate and lemon cakes.

Lovely cup cakes donated by The Little Bakeshop in Mumbles.

One of my favourite green vintage plates.

Love the shape of this plate.

Three tiered cake stand.

So lovely to meet Mrs Russell from Mrs Russell's Vintage China.

And of course loving Scrum Diddly cakes.

And Mrs R's cute red shoes!

It was one of our busiest days so far, as not only did we have this lovely tea party but we also had a large wedding of 120.
(More photos to follow)

Hope that you are all well.

Take care for now, have a good weekend.

Thinking of our lovely Katy today as it's her Birthday and she would have been 40 :-(
She was the most awesome, fun loving person you could have ever met and we all feel a bit robbed by loosing her.
Did I say a bit.
So all of us wore odd stripy socks today like she used too.

Treasure all your loved ones my friends.

Vintage Pink Glass Collection,

I have been collecting old pink bits and pieces for a while now, I really have a soft spot for pink coloured glass at the moment. So here are a thousand and one images of pink glass vases with pink roses in them.

Nice handle action.

Love tinware.

Then there were the pink little dessert bowls.
I love these so much. I have a few of these bowls in green too and some vases too, better do a post on old green collections soon.

Have a lovely day.

And oh my, I have discovered instagram!
Thanks to my lovely sister in law!
I am called fancyvintagechina on it, funny enough, so if you are also addicted to it, come and find me.

Aprons on the Beach,

We have been so enjoying the Easter holidays this week, it is so nice to spend time with the wee ones.
Like me, they love dressing up and collecting everything. But this week they were especially good sports at dressing up and drinking out of china on the beach.
We have so trained them early!
I have a real battle some mornings with the youngest one wanting to wear my gold vintage shoes out.
It is quite funny though. He also shouts china really loud in public when he sees it. He also sometimes likes to flick the china to make sure it is actually china and also to see if it has the right sound to see if it is cracked. It does make me laugh.

So today it's a couple of boys dressed up in aprons on the beach with china.
Just what you wanted to see.

My lovely sister in law also made an appearance this week which was awesome, she is also a lover of all things vintage and china.

Pink vintage china checking out the sea.

Stripes and flowers, nice look!

This mega colourful picnic cloth is my emergency back pack one for wet sand and was only a £1.

Love the clashing of colours!

Love the yellow and purple lady on this china cup.

Wee one with china cup.

Easter Bunny lollipop enjoying the sea view.

Wellies and apron from anthropologie.

Time to go.

Little ones skimming pebbles.

Checking out the high tide.

Oops, massive wave.

Ominous clouds approaching.

Holidays nearly over, boo.

Hope you all had a good Easter break.

Becca x
